The South Suburban Small Business Association (SSSBA) proudly presents the 2025 Summit Award for Economic Development to Mr. Michael Matthys. Mr. Matthys is an architect and one of the three principal partners at Linden Group Architects.
A graduate of Iowa State University, Mr. Matthys has led numerous large-scale projects across 30 states. His impressive portfolio includes the Joliet Casino, the Empress Casino in Hammond, Indiana, as well as The La Vault Restaurant, La Banque Hotel in Homewood, Illinois, and the Boutique Hotel in Highland, Indiana. He has also spear headed several municipal projects, such as the Frankfort Village Hall and Lansing Village Hall.
Mr. Matthys and Linden Group Architects have strongly committed to community service by donating their expertise to the Veterans Memorial Project in Flossmoor, Illinois. They played a crucial role in raising $120,000 for materials and construction.
Mr. Matthys states that Linden Group Architects is a humble company that values teamwork and checks their ego at the door. They pride themselves on delivering projects on time and within budget.
