What attracted you to SSSBA? What do you and your business get out of membership?

What attracted me to SSSBA were the events the organization held.  As an independent financial advisor & business owner, networking was & is key to my business. I found that SSSBA  planned quality events that opened up endless opportunities for me to network with individuals & businesses across the south suburbs.  For me, dollar for dollar, membership in SSSBA is money well spent!  For the cost of membership, a member’s fees are paid to all  events within the year with some of the best content & at some of the finest venues in the Southland.

What is something you’re most proud of?

I am most proud that my collaborative book of poems was published in 2018!  People kept encouraging me to continue to write and complete the book that was inside me.  My excuse was always, “I’m too busy right now!” Well, last year, the Speakers, Publishers & Authors Association (SPAA) opened up an opportunity that I was able to take advantage of and now I can say, I am a published author!  The name of the book is Mashairi, Swahili for poetry. I have dubbed myself the “Financial Poet!”

I am currently working on a children’s book about the path to financial freedom.
