Angela Parkman-Wiggins is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and received her certification over 20 years ago from the state of Illinois. She enjoys using her knowledge and expertise to help business owners as well as individuals keep up with the demanding requirements of financial and tax reporting. She provides accounting, tax and advisory services to a wide variety of clientele. Angela is proficient in electronic filing tax returns and expediting tax refunds. She is also skilled in guiding new businesses thru the beginning stages of operation.
Currently, Angela holds the position of Senior Manager with the team of Brooks, Faucett & Robertson, Certified Public Accountants. There she focuses her attention on clients in need of assistance with complex tax matters. Prior to joining Brooks, Faucett & Robertson, Angela was a partner with the Accounting firm of Varnado & Parkman, LLP. During her ten years in that partnership, she provided consulting, accounting and tax services to a wide variety of clients. In addition, she assisted with the development of the practice and was responsible for managing client relationships and expectations. She brought thirteen years of experience as a Sole Proprietor with her to the partnership. Angela has always worked in the financial industry beginning with several years of service in banking.
A strong desire to help others understand how to use the tax laws to their advantage has allowed Angela to express her passion for teaching. She often presents educational seminars on various tax related subjects. She has been a presenter for the IRS for well over 10 years now. She continues to present on tax and financial related topics whenever she gets an opportunity to enlighten a group of interested parties. Her presentation style and sunny personality are designed to make the most complex tax and accounting issues easy enough for everyone to understand.
Angela currently serves on the board of directors for the South Suburban Small Business Association as a board member for more than ten years with nearly eight of those years holding the position as Treasurer. She formerly held the Treasurer’s position for a variety of organizations including The Windy City Profiteers Investment Club, The 6 Accets Investment Club, The National African American Speakers Association and Chairperson of the Finance Committee for Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Markham, Illinois.
